Not only was he completely comfortable in front of the camera (sometimes a rarity for guys) but he took direction extremely well. Dane plays baseball and basketball, so we made sure to bring those elements into his photos.

The only thing that made the morning better was the discovery that he’s a Rush fan too! (That’s the band, not the blowhard.) I was so happy because this was the first time I was able to play Rush during a senior session – I have hope for the future!

…but I digress.

We had a great time in the studio and some local outdoor locations. That red guitar is a great contrast to the ourdoor colors.

Despite my long leave this summer, I’ve had some pretty stellar graduates this fall.

Laurel is a super awesome young lady who LOVES to shop, collect head bands and hang out with her adorable Sheltie. We had a great November day to take a few pictures in downtown Fargo. We eventually made our way to the studio in West Fargo.

I love people with kind eyes, and Elle definitely has them, along with a wonderful kind personality. We split the session into two which gave Elle and a chance to have both curly and straight hair in the pictures. It’s remarkable how a little thing like hair can make a photograph have a such a different feel.

It’s no wonder she enjoys acting, and it was really fun to photograph her “at work” as Tinkerbell in Moorhead High School’s Peter Pan. Prior to her performance (and Red hair), I photographed Audrey for her graduate portraits both at the studio and her childhood home in the country. Audrey is so expressive, she made by job a breeze and I really enjoyed my time photographing her.
