Lynn & Briar

Saturday isn’t the only day for weddings anymore. With competition for ceremony and reception venues we see more Friday and sometimes Sunday weddings. Lynn and Briar were our first ever Monday wedding right after Christmas.

Lynn was gorgeous in her simple dress and Briar added a lot of personality to the standard tux. Warm light flooded Trinity Lutheran during the ceremony which was a real bonus for a winter wedding. The reception at the NDSU Alumni Center was very intimate – it felt more like a fun family dinner than 200 person party.

It was a great day – thanks for letting us be a part of it, Lynn and Briar.

It was a gorgeous fall day recently when Melissa and Landon were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. The low, fall sun shown through the stained glass windows most of the afternoon and created great light. Melissa looked fantastic in her dress and the bridesmaids were awesome in classic black.

The entire day was a great celebration and ended with high energy reception and dance at the Courtyard. Congratulations Melissa and Landon!

May is my favorite month. Everything is renewed, green and yet still cool and bug free. Maggie and Jon were married on May 30th and with all their fresh, clean details and gorgeous wedding party and family, it was held in the most perfect month.

I’m always suprised when a couple can plan and wedding from afar, and Maggie & Jon certainly pulled this one off beautifully. Moreover, Maggie was finishing up school and moving from the east to west coast all while planning her wedding day.

Ann Arbor and I started off the day at Maggie’s parent’s home in Moorhead. The wedding was held at the always beautiful Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead with a reception at the Ramada Inn in Fargo. We also made a couple stops at Concordia College, just a hop, skip and jump away from the church.

Anna & Chris’ beautiful winter wedding was the last wedding I photographed in 2008. It was also the first wedding day I’ve photographed where the day was completely held in Moorhead! Their ceremony was held at the always beautiful Trinity Lutheran Church with a reception at Courtyard by Marriott. In addition, Anna’s father is a pastor at Trinity and married his daughter and son-in-law.

The always talented Darren Gibbins helped me out.
