Sarah & Doyle

Sarah and I have known each other since college so it was a thrill to photographer her marriage to Doyle. (EDITOR’S NOTE: I went back to school in my mid-20s and Sarah is much younger than me. *ahem*) The ceremony was a one-time chance for us at the Fargo Theatre because they don’t normally allow wedding ceremonies to be held there – unless you’re the awesomeness that is Sarah.

Ann and I loved being part of the day and, as you can see from these photos, it was a great party.

Doyle made a new friend on Broadway.

The wedding ceremony was basically an awesome concert with some wedding vows thrown in. Brooks West (below), Josh Harty and Brennen & Seth played absolutely great music that will be difficult to top.

Kristen & Kyle

As the weather turns colder and the leaves are gone it’s getting difficult to look at our wedding photos from earlier this fall. Remember short sleeves and green leaves?

Kristen and Kyle had a beautiful wedding in downtown Fargo at First Presbyterian Church and reception at the Avalon. The church is absolutely one of the best places in town to photograph a ceremony and Kristen and Kyle looked great in this backdrop.

Such a fun couple and cool locations. We had a great time, Kristen and Kyle!

Sneak Peek: Georgia & Nick

Only five weeks ago we photographed her sister’s wedding and last Saturday was Georgia and Nick’s turn. Beautiful fall light streamed through the stained glass windows at St. Mary’s while we photographed the happy couple. It was a day of fun, flirting and energy. Congratulations!

Kaela & Derek

Kaela and Derek had a beautiful August wedding at Hope South in Fargo. Kaela surprised everyone by singing to Derek during the ceremony – it was a wonderful moment. There were lots of tears during her song!

The weather was great for outdoor photos and we had a lot of fun at Island Park. We had a fun moment with Kaela and some unsuspecting tennis players by convincing them to pose for a photo.

It was a great day, Kaela and Derek!

Carmen & Craig

The day of Carmen and Craig’s wedding was warm but it was a gorgeous day – lot’s of sun and great people. We love to shoot ceremonies at Nativity because of the great light on the altar and their’s was no different. The way Carmen and Craig smiled at each other all day was inspiring and we were so glad to be there with them. Congrats!

It’s Big Blog Friday!

Becca and Brian’s held their Fargo ceremony and reception at the Hilton on a day we managed to avoid rain while doing our fun outdoor photos. If anybody was nervous they did a great job of hiding their jitters – everyone had a great time from the word go.

Aside from being amazingly sweet and in love, Tahnee and Greg were wonderfully laid back on their wedding day. They didn’t at all seemed phased by the hot and windy weather on their wedding day, and, in fact, were quite relaxed about most of the day’s details.

Their simple ceremony took place at the quaint St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in St. Benedict (South of Fargo) with a fun, laid back reception at the Red River Zoo in Fargo.

The day was warm, the ceremony small and intimate, and the reception at the F.M. Labor Temple was relaxed. Sara and Alec’s wedding day at Edgewood United Methodist was definitely a memorable one. Making the programs out of hand-held fans was certainly a practical touch. Ann Arbor Miller and I really enjoyed the homey atmosphere of the church and had an even better time exploring downtown Fargo with Sara and Alec after the ceremony. Thanks guys!

I really don’t know if Amanda could have looked any more gorgeous on her wedding day. LOVED the dress. The bridal party was loads of fun and were willing to try just about anything we asked of them – good troopers! The ceremony was held at St. Mary’s with another great reception at the Ramada.

Sara & Rick

Fun! Excitement! Blocked streets! Gale force winds! Sara and Rick’s wedding had it all and we were so glad to be there to photograph it.

The first challenge to everyone’s day was navigating around streets blocked off for the Fargo Marathon and luckily our first locations weren’t too difficult reach. Sara and the ladies got into their fabulous dresses at the couple’s house which was right on the marathon route. How often do you get your own parade and cheering crowds on your wedding day?

The wind really blew during the ceremony at the Fargo Country Club but the tent’s walls kept everything from blowing away. The Country Club was fabulous, the toasts were great, Tables 7 and 8 were rowdy and The Front Fenders had the joint jumping all night.

…but I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story.
