Aubrey & Ryan

Aubrey and Ryan’s parents were married a few years ago at the Avalon Events Center so mom and dad thought it would be a great location for the first photo shoot of the kids together. Ryan is still a fresh enough little guy that he’s not interacting much yet but big sister Aubrey more than made up for it. Here’s just a few photos from the session.

A little bit of rain didn’t dampen a whole lotta fun at Casey and Matt’s wedding. They didn’t want to see each other prior to the ceremony at First Lutheran and Matt was very patient when forced to sit by himself at the end of a hall while Casey and the ladies had their turn at photos in the sanctuary. We enjoyed a walk in the rain to the Avalon reception after the ceremony where Carmen the Cactus really rocked out.

Cheryl and Chris had a very intimate ceremony at the Avalon this May and Penny and I were there to share the day with them. What a great day! Chris was a little nervous but didn’t show it a bit during the ceremony. Here’s a quick preview of their images.

It’s always a rush when a bride and groom decide not to see each other before the ceremony. They have to be careful so they don’t sneak a glimpse of one another. Lisa and Ryan decided to take the challenge and during more than one occasion they almost saw each other! But, they made it through the day fine… and the first glimpse Ryan saw of Lisa was when she finally walked down the aisle. Success!

Josh and I had a really great time at this wedding… and experiencing the dance was well worth the bag of cough drops I had to ingest throughout the day (hozzah for autumn colds!). It was duplicate wedding-location weekend for me, as they were married at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church with a reception at the Avalon Event Center, similar to Christina and Aaron just the week before.

I just love autumn.

About this time every year, I get into this cozy, warm state of mind. I’m not sure it it’s the changing of the seasons, the cooler air, or the the beautiful colors, but, it’s nice… very, very nice

I think that’s what made Christina & Aaron’s day so special. Not only was the weather near perfect for a fall day, but the entire weddings was packed full of wonderful autumn inspired details that could make anyone feel warm and fuzzy. In addition, I think Christina and Aaron win the award for most photogenic couple. They (and their friends and family!) were an absolute blast to photograph.

The gorgeous couple’s downtown Fargo wedding was at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church with a reception at the Avalon Event Center. The talented Darren Gibbins was my side kick.

Holy fun time, Batman!

Britta and I had an excellent time celebrating with Rachel and John a few weeks back. The ceremony was held at Believers Fellowship Church in Moorhead with another great reception at The Avalon. It was a spontaneous fun day with a great portrait session at Lindenwood Park and I don’t think anyone stopped smiling all day.

Lauren & Bryan’s wonderful Friday July wedding could not have been more memorable. They started off getting ready at the Hotel Donaldson… downtown… during the Fargo Street Fair, which, if as some of you may know, is the busiest downtown event of the summer! Their wedding was held at Peace Lutheran, just a hop skip and jump away from downtown… and their reception was at the beautiful Avalon Event Center, also downtown. Dave and I (as well as then entire wedding party and guests!) weathered the crazy downtown traffic and the constant fragrance of fried food to celebrate an awesome wedding day for an awesome couple!
