We just discovered that there is something wrong with our voicemail and that messages have not been reaching us! We have them now and hopefully our provider has fixed the issue. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Another award. Another award. Another award.

So, yeah…Britta won three more awards in the international quarterly WPJA contest. What else is new, right? She’s only one of the top-20 WPJA shooters on the planet so we shouldn’t expect any less, eh?

But seriously, her hard work and amazing talent has brought her recognition from judges that are some of the top photojournalists in America yet again. Isn’t this the type of photographer you’d want to trust capturing your wedding day?

Fifth Place – Groom Getting Ready

The judges said, “I haven’t got a clue what is happening in this photo but the beauty of a great photo is that we don’t need to know because the image has a voice of its own. That’s how moments work.”

Ninth Place – Reflections

How’s this comment from one of the judges? “Here’s a first. I’ve judged tens of thousands of top level wedding photos from some of the best photographers on the planet but I can’t remember ever seeing this scene. But, the onus is on the moment. Thus, not only is this photo unique (at least to my experience) it also includes the bride and groom. Mostly I like the ’seeing’ of this scene combined with its wonderful execution by the photographer.”

Eighteenth Place – Departure

The Reflections photo and this Departure photo are both from Tahnee and Greg’s July wedding.

Samantha and Parker

Way, way, way back in September, beautiful Samantha and Parker tied the knot. Their wedding day was fabulous, laid back (a friday affair) and sweet (like them). Not to mention the weather was about perfect.

Sam and Parker met quite a few years ago during confirmation class at United Methodist Church in Fargo, the very church where they were hitched. After all these years, Sam has kept the promise ring Parker gave her way back when. It was so great the she incorporated it into their day.

Sam had been working on her killer arm muscles to prepare for the big day. We had to grab a shot for her personal trainer.

Both Sam and Parker are very, very proud of the fact that they attended Concordia College in Moorhead… so, naturally, we had to take a few portraits at the local college. Oh, and did you know that it’s bad luck to walk under the bell tower until your married? The happy couple was thrilled to finally walk under the tower as husband and wife!

Their cocktail reception and dance was held at the Fargo Country Club.

Congrats Sam and Parker!

Don’t let Xander’s shy demeanor fool you, he’s one curious little dude. I photographed him this fall at the Fargo Air Museum in Fargo where I found out he really likes planes and rocks.
