It’s Big Blog Friday!

Becca and Brian’s held their Fargo ceremony and reception at the Hilton on a day we managed to avoid rain while doing our fun outdoor photos. If anybody was nervous they did a great job of hiding their jitters – everyone had a great time from the word go.

It was great spending the day with you, Becca and Brian!

Baby Brax came in a for his 3 month photo session a couple weeks ago. Isn’t he just adorable?

We usually photograph a couple weddings a year at UND’s unique Spiritual Center on the Grand Forks campus each year and enjoy the experience every time. The landscaping is gorgeous and the chapel itself is intimate and full of natural light.

Morea and I enjoyed a beautiful day with Brandie and Eric recently. We explored some cool Grand Forks locations, had a lot of fun on the bus and ended with a great reception at the Hilton. Thanks for a fun day, Brandie and Eric!

Wade

Red guitar, orange boots and an Iron Maiden t-shirt – Wade was ready for his senior session. The only thing that made the morning better was the discovery that he’s a Rush fan too! (That’s the band, not the blowhard.) I was so happy because this was the first time I was able to play Rush during a senior session – I have hope for the future!

…but I digress.

We had a great time in the studio and some local outdoor locations. That red guitar is a great contrast to the ourdoor colors.

Tahnee and Greg

Aside from being amazingly sweet and in love, Tahnee and Greg were wonderfully laid back on their wedding day. They didn’t at all seemed phased by the hot and windy weather on their wedding day, and, in fact, were quite relaxed about most of the day’s details.

Their simple ceremony took place at the quaint St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in St. Benedict (South of Fargo) with a fun, laid back reception at the Red River Zoo in Fargo.

Jack – Nine Months

Jack is back! He was in for his nine-month photos recently and both Britta and I both had fun photographing him. What a happy kid!

Getting too close to one’s subject can jeopardize a lens.

But it will get you cute shots like this!

Admit it. You’re jealous of his Superman jammies. Seriously, they have a cape.

Momma got a good workout making Jack fly.

The day was warm, the ceremony small and intimate, and the reception at the F.M. Labor Temple was relaxed. Sara and Alec’s wedding day at Edgewood United Methodist was definitely a memorable one. Making the programs out of hand-held fans was certainly a practical touch. Ann Arbor Miller and I really enjoyed the homey atmosphere of the church and had an even better time exploring downtown Fargo with Sara and Alec after the ceremony. Thanks guys!

Jeanmarie & Preston

Where do I start when describing the awesomeness of the Jeanmarie & Preston’s wedding day? Well, I should probably start with the couple themselves. Jeanmarie and Preston are two of the most obviously in love couples I’ve ever met. They are super sweet, funny and a little dorky too.

Their gorgeous wedding took place out at the Draxton Farm near Northwood, N.D., and I could not have imagined a more perfect setting for a North Dakota wedding. With a giant old farm house, a huge barn and the most beautiful flower garden, the Draxton Farm is a photographer’s dream.

And on top of all of that, Jeanmarie and Preston have some of the greatest friends and family. Morea and I felt so welcomed and I still get a warm fuzzy feeling when thinking about their wedding day. Congratulations Jeanmarie & Preston!
