Tayla & Devin

Last fall, I took Tayla’s graduate photographs (curious? check them out here). Tayla is a natural in front of the camera and such a joy to photograph. So, naturally, I was pretty thrilled to photograph her and her brother for a fun sibling portrait session. Like his sister, Devin doesn’t lack any personality. We all had a pretty good time, including their mom DeAnn who made a brief appearance at the end of the shoot.

Tayla graduates this weekend and we here at Milestones congratulate her and all the 2010 graduates.

I’ve known Brett for quite a few years now. We were both in the journalism program at MSUM and were also news clerks at the Forum of Fargo/Moorhead back in college. I was so happy when he started to bring his family in for portraits just two short years ago. Well, this summer his family of three became a family of four with their new addition of Milo!

I had a total blast photographing the super cute Bourdeaux family a couple weeks ago at Island Park in Fargo. Bekka and Ben are a pair of fun and super energetic kids with the greatest personalities… they were super fun to photograph.

Hogan Family Reunion

Several times a summer we get the opportunity to spend part of a day with clients as they have a family reunion. We’ll shoot some family portraits and then spend the rest of the time capturing the fun moments that happen as everyone enjoys the day.

In August it was the Hogan family that invited me out to Timberlane Resort near Park Rapids, Minn. It was a perfect day and I had a great time chasing all the kids around. Thanks for inviting me out!

I met up with the Porter family at Island Park recently for a family photo shoot. The kids weren’t interested in any of the boring ol’ posed photos so I ended up chasing them around the park for while. Great natural faces on these kids!

In December 2006, Dave & Morea photographed Amanda and Lucas’s wedding day. This spring, I had the privilege to photograph their adorable little girl Signe. Amanda & Lucas choose to participate in our First Year Year package, so Signe’s 3 month photographs (which you see here) are the first of many to come throughout the year.

Way (way) back in 2006, I photographed Kari & Jamie on their wedding day. This time, they came in the studio for some nice portraits of them before their baby is born (Kari is expecting and due in about a month!). It was fun to see them again and hope to see their little baby in the near future.

It’s been a crazy time here at the studio for family and children portraits. We’ve had a lot of sessions, many that we should probably share with you. First up, the Aarsvold family. You might recognize Megan… I photographed her graduate photographs not too long ago.

I have some nice smiley pictures of the family, but, I could not resist Alyssa’s face (the toddler). It’s almost like she’s thinking “who are these people?”
