Lisa & Ross

May 14th, 2008 Posted in Weddings

We’ll be telling stories about Lisa and Ross’ wedding in Pelican Rapids for a long time. First, their ceremony was one day prior to Sarah’s due date. We planned for that by having Morea come with and driving two cars in case I needed to sprint home to West Fargo for an imminent baby.

Second, Pelican Rapids was blessed with 18 inches of wet, heavy snow the night before making travel hazardous.

Finally, the state patrol closed I94 the morning of the wedding!

Baby Lily didn’t show until the following Wednesday so luckily that didn’t factor into the day.

Morea and I each have four-wheel-drive SUVs so between that and some reasonable speeds we able to make it to Pelican Rapids via back roads. It took a little longer but we left very early and were there in plenty of time. By noon the snow was melting the roads were in fine shape by late afternoon when we drove to the reception in Fergus Falls.

Now back to Lisa and Ross! Everyone had a good story to tell about traveling to the wedding or just getting out of their own driveway. We had a lot of fun while the bridal party was getting ready and the good times continued right through the ceremony and reception. Here’s a few photos from the day.
